The story of how a young Donald Trump started his real estate business in 1970s and 80s New York with the helping hand of infamous lawyer Roy Cohn. Roger Stone, a longtime associate of Donald Trump and Roy M. This is historical fiction based on Roy Cohn’s role in The Life of Tr*mp from their meeting to Cohn’s death. There are some hindsight biases, but for the most part it’s completely believable.
Jeremy Strong has Cohn’s T-section
Some things are clear that really could have been left unsaid, especially Cohn’s support for Tr*mp: he actually gives the numbered rules: Attack, attack, attack; always claim profit and so on. It doesn’t show two complete monsters, both have a human side, Tr*mp especially his relationship with his older brother Freddie. The acting of the two leads is spot on; we have no trouble accepting Sebastian Stan as Tr*mp back in the day and.
I couldn’t fault the period details
His hooded, dead eyes are distinctively Cohn’s, but the scar below his nose, from a childhood surgery forced on him by his mother, is gone. Mary Anne Tr*mp’s Scottish accent sounded more central European. As a key to what made Tr*mp who he is today, this film is excellent, even if it misses how his childhood made him meet Cohn.
I recommend it to anyone who is still on the fence to watch before the election
