Remake of Elagente Topo (2020)
Story
Charles, a retiree, finds a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator ad and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a retirement home. Based on the Chilean documentary «El Agente Topo».
All the characters are extremely easy to love and therefore relatable to someone in your life
Since we’re being honest, I have to admit that at first glance I wasn’t sure if the series was something that interested me, but somehow it managed to draw me in. Before you know it, you’re so invested that you just have to find out who did it!
My favorite quote from the series is «Every good thing in your life, when you think about it, seems like a miracle» Very poetic because it resonates with all of us
It’s also a gentle reminder that we’re all here trying to do the same thing, live and enjoy life, so we might as well do our best to get along and most of all be kind to each other. I also have to admit that it was a little strange to see Ted Danson in this role, especially when we are used to him as «Sam» from Cheers; but at first, «Charles» tugs at your heartstrings without leaving any sad memories of «Sam.» A bittersweet but tender reminder that Father Time has no favorites.
It’s a nice change of pace, that leaves no guilt for enjoying another «cop» show
I hope you will watch it and recognize and empathize with the daily challenges that some in our society, in our lives, experience on a daily basis.
