The youngest generation, the school age kids see the wonder and excitement of Christmas
Everything that we see happening in that home reminds me of a lot of similar family Christmas gatherings I have experienced in my life. The director shows us the kid’s perspective of Christmas lights, through special glasses, and how a young boy handles aunts and great aunts wanting to plant kisses on his cheeks.
It is a large cast and they all feel very familiar
Miller’s Point features an Italian family in Long Island, but the holiday traditions they show could be anywhere in the USA. The film has a warm feel to a familiar family Christmas.
