Die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan Alana Higman and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest, in a process judged by Director of Fan Engagement Derrick.. Enjoy your happily ever after – after this year’s lineup of romantic movies with holiday-themed movies to watch from the comfort of your own home.. The movie was shot on location at the historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like this in the whole year.
Also, I’m not much of a Chiefs fan
The square also does Christmas lights like the one in the movie.. There has been too much hype about this movie, including "live" updates in every commercial break in the movie preceding this one. To me they are the current Evil Empire of the NFL.
I liked this movie
(Actually, they have some very prominent players, and I use the term evil as a hyperbole.) But I’m back to my obsession with watching every Christmas movie premiere on at least 5 channels. It was different enough from the usual stuff, and there may have been snow, but no snowball fights or many of the other items on the Christmas movie checklist. Tyler Hines and Hunter King have very good chemistry, almost what I sometimes call sizzling.
Hines was his usual steady but calm self
The story hooked me first with the mission to win the fan race and then with a look at the way out of the obstacle towards the end. I thought the acting was a bit of a mixed bag. King’s character had endearing qualities, but also a certain neurosis, especially in her total obsession with superstition.
That being said, I had mixed feelings about the ending, especially after the backstory build up
(I realize these feelings are somewhat contradictory.) Like I said, I’m not a Chiefs fan, so I didn’t recognize many of the cameos, but there seemed to be a few.
