Anderson’s Great Schools of Dune trilogy
Two Harkonnen sisters battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and establish the legendary sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. This series draws on material from Brian Herbert and Kevin J.

A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice of one called ‘Mentats of Dune’ All three books weave together the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors. I knew it wouldn’t be as good as the movies, but I didn’t expect it to be so…
No depth, conversations are sometimes pretty cheesy
mediocre. I thought for a second that this was an Amazon production, not an HBO one. For some roles, it’s not the right casting choices; not because the actors are bad, but they’re just not right for the role.
No real special effects, it feels a bit low budget
Too much stuff happening in the first episode and jumping from one scene to the next like they’re running. Also for some scenes, I wonder why they bothered to do them. I’m not sure what camera they used, but the scenes look very simple.
