There is a way out: Switch to the Black Rock channel and become the viewer of the new SPLIT/Second reality show, in which there is no place for drama and dullness, and speed and adrenaline are in the key. And it all started quite prosaic: an incomprehensible program, the complete absence of adequate ideas and psychos ready to realize the bold fantasies of the scriptwriters. The problem with the participants managed to solve – several words about races without rules, crazy speeds and free cars were enough to attract the attention of dashing drivers. One check -in at the training level, testing of abilities, lice test and a brief excursion into the terms of the contract – that’s all that was needed to start. Camera, motor, remove!
Explosive program
The pilot episode of the first season raised millions of spectators from TV screens, and already on the second producers allocated more funds, and on the third – a very solid budget, which did not even dream of powerful film companies. The authors of the show did not lose: they knew very well that many adore racing with the participation of expensive and fast cars. But they also knew that most consumers demanded bread and spectacles, as if in the Coliseum, and if there are hardly not to find gladiators and chariots in our time, then desperate riders who are ready to tear each other's throats for the first place – even like!
Very soon, Split/Second has grown, and the creators announced twelve seasons, six episodes in each. At the end of the season – a grand final in which only the best. If you are lucky and they will survive, there will be a chance to engage in new routes, where the operators are already sitting in helicopters, and pyrotechnics finish the latest preparations for fireworks and miniature apocalypsis. You didn’t think that spectacular races are just a gang of desperate people chasing chic cars and spitting on the rules of the road?
That you are not the point at all. Yes, of course, the minimum speed here is about two hundred kilometers per hour, and even then on turns, and road fences fly from side to side, but this can be seen on the streets of megacities, especially dark nights, and what is interesting in routine? “Nothing,” the producers of the reality show counted and placed explosives, fuel tanks, mined vehicles, cisters, detonated towers, ships, and much more, and then gave a remote control with a large red button and allowed each participant and allowed to use it under every opportunity.
And it rushed … The planes suddenly fell from heaven, parked trucks exploded, huge dams collapsed in front of their eyes, the rocks turned into a myriad of boulders, communication towery tower spreads half the road, the ferries became gigantic burning, and the nuclear power plants were swayed with the ground with the ground along the click of the finger. Any, even the most harmless item threatened to turn to a terrible weapon: the sign could well break off the pillar and disperse the track, and underground parking – to tear so that neighboring buildings were folded by the house. But there were also ubiquitous gas stations, lifting cranes, piles, warehouses and bridges, which at any moment could fall on the head with passing trains or buses. Here, even escalators flew, turning the closed tunnels into open ones, and construction equipment lived in their own life and could work in any, even the most inappropriate moment. The highway literally turned into a landfill testing landfill, and the explosions thundered very often.
But not constantly, because the drivers were limited to the use of the cherished remote control: the button could be pressed only by fulfilling certain conditions, fraught with serious consequences. For example, send your iron horse to a long controlled skid, from which it still had to be removed whole and unharmed. Or act on nerves to one of the opponents, holding behind him for a long time. Jumping from ledges, of course, also went counted, but the close emergency situation was most quoted – a trip next to several taxis at the time of their mass suicide, an escape from crumbling buildings on the roofs, a slope from discarded beams or barrels, kindly discarded from a helicopter. Nothing raises the level of adrenaline in the blood like the threat of death at frantic speed, and it also opens up great opportunities for mockery of rivals.
It is vital to torment them, otherwise you can become a goat of the release of seven drivers who consider it their duty to send you to a ditch or at least push you into the abyss. Opponents do not doze off and activate traps almost more often than you, and their cars are often better than yours on their heads. The only way to win is to play dirty, to shove, with a light movement of the front wheels to push enemies into the hugs of hospitable pillars and reinforced concrete dead ends. And do not rush to be proud if you take the first place – nothing ends on this. Rather, it just begins, because now everyone will try to get rid of you.
Crazy attraction
Most competitions have rude behavior and constant rivalry. The usual race drags on for four to five minutes, forcing him to rush through two or three circles and swallow dust and burning from under the enemy tires. But truly passions are heating up in the survival race, where every twenty seconds he retires one participant. And he doesn’t just drop out, but scattered into pieces – explosives are installed in the cars with a special sensor.
On this, the stay on the stage of ordinary enemies ends – they are replaced by more formidable rivals. The worst thing is a multi -ton truck that boosts circles in a small arena and periodically dropping barrels with fuel. Did not have time to furnish him in the allotted time? Please get a dozen red, burning, tanks as a gift.
Another seasoned enemy is a military helicopter equipped with two missile systems. Throughout the race, he tries to hook you with the ground, releasing homing shells, and, only having transplanted in the fifth season, you can finally answer him and send rockets to the opposite address.
Finally, after all this there is a trip along one of the tracks in splendid loneliness. Neither opponents nor heavy artillery – you can focus on yourself and try to get to the finish line as soon as possible, or you will crush an impressive statue or boulder of impressive sizes. Yes, absolutely everything explodes in the latest mode, and it is not easy to cope with management at all.
At such moments, an acute desire wakes up from a racing coupe to some persistent SUV, capable of withstanding an explosive wave and not turning over. There is nothing impossible in the Split/Second reality show, so you can saddle buggies and jeeps. True, the choice of car is much wider – several dozen bright cars are beckoning, offering new sensations. Someone is faster, someone is more maneuverable, and someone copes with drifts perfectly and easily withstand a hail of stones from the mountain.
Each car is drawn in detail: you can make out literally everything, from the type of machine to the presence of a turnover on the side mirrors. The landscapes that would be compared with perhaps Paradise City were also awarded glory. Here you will find abandoned docks, a modern port, and a airport terminal on a working day, and high -speed auto -banks, and narrow gateways of poor areas, and power plants, and a repair plant, and even a massive dam. And how nice it is to demolish all this – for a long time we have not seen such realistic explosions and special effects. The verdict is announced, and the time has come to plunge into the world of an explosive television show even deeper. Let's get acquainted with the interference on the road closer, deal with the fleet and talk about the competitions in which our iron herd will take part. First – a little about cars and about their characteristics.
Cars
Most of the SPLIT/Second stable is a sports compartment that is very reminiscent of the creations of Ford, Nissan, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani and Bugatti. Each machine has four main parameters that help make the right choice:
- Speed. To win in races, our horses should be quick and maneuverable, but at high speed we still have to be able to cope, besides, it plays not the most important role. Believe me, when you rush along the autobahn by a meteor, and boulders roll on top, it is more likely that you will fit into them, what you will have time to go around.
- Power (Strength). One of the two most important indicators, “power” determines the resistance to explosions, collapses, blows and other troubles that occur on the highway every few seconds. In most cases, it makes sense to sit in something powerful, but do not neglect other criteria, otherwise you will be driving a truck and finish the last.
- Drift (drift). Perhaps the best way to earn glasses to undermine rivals and change the route is to put the car into a controlled skid. So you will kill three birds with one stone at once: you’ll go well with the turns, and get off the barrels of fuel (more on that below), and you will earn vital scores.
- Acceleration. The second after the “power” is the most important characteristic, on which success on the track largely depends. In Split/Second, accidents often happen, and it is not always possible to avoid them yourself. You will be reborn, but with a high degree of probability you will lose your legal first place, and returning it is very difficult. It is here that “acceleration” comes into business, and the better it is, the more chances to return to duty or overtake everyone at the start. Well, paired with a high “speed”, he will help to sink races, like nuts.
Note: These four criteria periodically fail, showing incorrect information – the theory is often different from practice. Say, according to the table, your old car is bad in the "Snow", and on the new one this parameter reaches the limit. In fact, everything can be exactly the opposite, so check each iron horse before competing in the first place. And never rush to transplant to new items – sometimes you are much better than junction.
Destroy everything
But we do not value Split/Second for cars, but for constant explosions, destruction and the landfill into which the track turns after the first circle. For example, causing a barrel with a fuel from a helicopter, slow down or go into a skid so that the explosive wave does not send you to the nearest pillar or steel fence. Drinking along the dam, destroy the grilles only when you do not go nearby, otherwise fall down. Driving in the port, try to make sure that the discarded ship does not hurt you. There are still a great many examples, just remember – be careful with dirty tricks.
- The most large -scale and destructive Power Play does not guarantee you an imminent victory or first place for at least two minutes. Note: Usually over opponents at the moment when they can be sent on vacation, a blue icon lights up. When it comes to large -scale destruction, a red icon goes into business, but this is a snag: sometimes it just means a more powerful explosion. To bring down the tower or undermine the ship, a red arrow should appear on them – only then you will get what you want.
Game modes
Split/Second is one of those unpredictable racing in which the leadership position from the very beginning does not mean at all that you will not come to the finish. At best. In five minutes, anything can happen on the track, and its direction will easily change several times in a row. To match the common crazy attitude of reality shows and competitions-only a few of them are remotely friends with their heads.
Race
A regular race consisting of two or three circles, depending on the complexity and size of the track. You can come at least the eighth, it will almost not affect the further career – you simply will not get prizes. If you want points, then be kind to finish in the first five.
A few important rules that will help to win:
- Do not strive for the first place from the very start – it is too highly likely that they will quickly drive you and be sent to the tail, from which you will have to get out for quite some time, breaking every bump.
- Do not get lost and do not start again if you are the eighth. There is nothing wrong with this, believe me: one circle is enough to break forward. In addition, when you drag behind everyone, time appears to thoroughly study the track, find places convenient for the trap and figure out where it is better to go into the skid and drive into full speed, and where it is worth slowing down – this knowledge will come in handy at the end.
- Do not even try to reduce the road, if you are not sure that you will break through. Most of the cuts are cunningly hidden and opens just a couple of seconds before your getting inside. Extra seconds thought out – and the car to smithereens.
- Save the mini-Armageddon on the last circle and try to cover everyone you can. It is important to do it in the last turn, in order to go into a big gap, while the seven of drivers recover from disaster.
Elimination
Almost the same as the usual race, Virgin Games sister sites but with a small correction: a minute after the start, the participants begin to get out one after another. Air Attack

- One of the best ways to hide from missiles is to go along the sidelines or snuggle up to fence. Survival

- Vyos is a great way to go around the barrels and not get into trouble, but there is a much more effective. Just choose a fast, stable car and try to get forward at all costs.
- You can hide from the tanks by driving behind the partition or where the truck will not voluntarily. Unfortunately, not all areas have such places, and sometimes you have to sophisticate. For example, guess the moment before the next “ejection” and go to overtake on the left side (barrels fly out along the arc, starting on the right). Or pushing forward meat-ridiculous black and yellow ranges of which auto industry. And finally, remember: if you are already facing the face with danger, try to break through between the two flying “shells” – so you have more chances for success.
Detonator
The hardest and most explosive regime.
