Kiefer’s father, Donald Sutherland, starred with Clint in Kelly’s Heroes (1970) and Svemirski kauboji (2000)
Story
While serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, a family man finds himself faced with a serious moral dilemma, one that he could use to sway the jury’s verdict and possibly convict or acquit the wrong criminal. Kiefer Sutherland got the role by writing to Clint Eastwood telling him what a big fan he was and that he wanted to star in one of his films before he retired.
Well, this movie is a must-watch for you!
Referenced in Open Bar: #120 – Glicked Dominates, Snow White Panic, Captain America Disaster (2024). Are you, like me, fed up with the barrage of superhero movies with over-budget, rushed visual effects, flawless characters, and poor writing?
What would I do?
Not only is it likely Eastwood’s last film, but it’s also a damn good one. Well-written by Jonathan Abrams, with very real and relatable stakes, we guarantee you’ll leave the theater thinking, Oh my God, what if that happened to me!
The actors give great performances, invoking real emotions
I’m appalled at how little the studio has marketed this film. I’m so glad I saw it, and I hope other filmmakers who want to bring real, wholesome, relatable films to theaters can do the same.
