Project Data Fields in Runn

Project data is any data that is recorded, collected and stored on a specific project. It can include project plans along with budgets, timelines, and other resources.

The objective of collecting and managing project data is to increase productivity, enhance quality and deliver projects on time and within budget. In addition to providing a clear account of what’s been completed an accurate and complete project data also assists other aspects of the project, including change management as well as deadline updates, defect resolution and cost analysis.

A well-designed project management tool that is easily accessible and centrally located across all platforms can increase your ability to gather information, organize and analyze data to make smart decisions. It also helps eliminate errors, duplicates, and mistakes. Runn allows you to create the same fields across all your online platforms for tracking Project Status, Project timelines, and the use of resources. This allows you to compare performance and data across different platforms over some time.

You can create eight different types of Data Fields using the Project Data Fields Tool in Runn. The most common are Check and List. List-type Data Fields allow you to select an option from a dropdown list and can be used to color Taskbars. They can also be useful for reporting Project progress if Data Field labels are updated regularly. Check-type Data Fields are useful to determine if an Task is completed or not. By selecting the Required box, you can make certain Data Fields mandatory for all users.
