They may be updated throughout the design to reflect modifications or to provide a clearer picture to the people who are responsible for delivering a project.

The Room Data Sheets SmartTool is an efficient and accurate sheet that lets you view and schedule your building utility for creating room (or space) data sheets in the Revit project. The tool can generate 3D plans elevations, sheets, and schedule views of spaces or rooms.

The tool will default to the Room Numbering Template and Sheet Format that is set by the Revit Project. However you can choose a different sheet style and name from the Tool Options tab. Or, you can click ‘Load Configuration’ …’ on the toolbar to load previously saved configurations which will replace the current settings. This reduces the amount of manual re-work needed for each room or space size and type.

The tab ‘Naming’ permits the user to choose if the selected room/space is included in the sheet’s Name text box that is located on the left of the screen. «View Name» is the text that appears in the title bar of each view, while «View Increment» indicates the number of increments between each view after it is placed on the sheet. The ‘Spacing:’ option can be enabled to control the space between each view on the sheet and’Exclude View Titles in estimating view sizes on Sheets’ option will stop titles from being included in determining the number of views that can fit on a single page.
