Great performances by everyone
After Best New Show, a disappointing Jack Ryan season 4, and poor performances across the board, this is better in every way. Really well done, and the action and fight scenes are amazing. A lot of the criticism of this show in the comments section is how unrealistic it seems to me because of the whole female protagonist thing, and it’s an original IP that doesn’t change a male lead into a female lead.
They could do a new, more action packed Homeland, otherwise it would risk being a Blacklist-like episode
I also never saw any red flags that made any of the characters seem incompetent or anything like that. At first I thought it was going to be more of a quirky show where the action is the main focus, but then they went a bit deeper into the family and I usually dread that but I don’t like what they did there. My only criticism is that the plot of what this particular ops team is doing is very limiting and could kill the story by leaving out the plot/villain of the season.

PS: Nicole Kidman’s role so far is incredibly small and unremarkable, and anyone else could do it… what a great Morgan Freeman brings to the show… but from what I’ve seen so far the show can stand on its own.
Even without the History Channel some critics seem to enjoy his entertainment
TLDR Cautious optimism overall, but I like what I’m seeing so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
