Segel told Goldstein that he had to bring it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, which would generate interest from other major actors. Two episodes in, the show is very promising, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and sometimes even strangely… gratifying in a way that most shows aren’t, except that it reminds me of Community for those elements. I’m not sure if this accurately describes the therapist’s way of dealing with issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel room to do his job.
Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor
I wasn’t sure how his character would work in this show, but Rhodes’ antisocial likeness certainly plays into the character Ford is dealing with. It’s pretty good, considering the more menacing elements of his Han Solo character from Star Wars, this show fits like a glove. Sean (Luke Tennie) in a way too relatable plays Jimmy’s (Segel) son as he deals with his own family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)…
And the music in this show is so good
What I see here is so vivid and the possibilities are maybe (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigating these things. Btw, the opening theme of this show is so good, I didn’t even skip it while watching episode 2… Overall, this is turning out to be an amazing show and I hope it continues to get better.
